Lionel arrived in the United States from Spain in 1978 to study Philosophy @ Berkeley, then Film & Television @ NYU and latter UM. He started his career working as a Producer, Director and Writer for Univision in 1986. Later he moved to New York to work as a Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi's hispanic agency Conill, creating award- winning campaigns for McDonald's, Procter & Gamble and many Fortune 500 companies.

​In 1991 Lionel opened in Miami his own Television Production and Development company, Creative Image Enterprises. In a few years from its inception, Creative Image had become a successful, award winning international development, production and directorial company creating and producing television shows and advertising campaigns, music and corporate videos and working with firms such as Visa International, Nissan Corporation, Pepsi Cola, PolyGram Records, Carnival Cruise Lines, Apple Computers and many others.  

In the last several years, and working with national and international networks and other production companies, Lionel has developed and produced over 40 television shows in the US and Latin America encompassing every genre from cooking to realities and from lifestyle to fiction.
